In making the point that the NFL is continuing to embrace its DEI program and initiatives, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell this week made a grand assumption.

“I think it’s clearly a reflection of our fan base and our communities and our players,” he said of the NFL’s continued DEI embrace.

Well, that’s a matter of perspective.

Faking your own death to avoid paying child support and then living the rest of your days at your girlfriend’s house sounds like a foolproof plan. Of course, plans aren’t always executed perfectly and things can go sideways in a hurry.

An Indiana man’s perfect plan fell apart when he was found alive and well at his girlfriend’s house not long after an email was sent to a Washington County Child Support Administrator stating that he had died.

51-year-old Jeffrey Bell Jr. of Washington County was found alive in the northern part of the county, according to a Facebook post by the Indiana State Police, after an investigation which got underway in April 2024.

A detective met with the recipient of the email that informed the child support office “that due to Mr. Bell’s death, a large amount of child support owed by Bell would go unpaid.”

The detective also learned that Bell was allegedly alive and living with his girlfriend. When the detective went to the residence he encountered a man who denied being Bell. Despite the initial denial, the man was eventually identified as Jeffrey Bell Jr. […]

The woman, according to France 24, believed she was in a romantic relationship with the 61-year-old actor, who, while we’re talking about him should mention, still has his fastball. This unfortunate story could serve as an example of that.

Scumbag terrorist Shamsub-Din Jabbar was killed in a hail of gunfire.

The ISIS supporter drove a truck through Bourbon Street in New Orleans in the early morning hours of January 1st, and he left 15 innocent people dead. Dozens more were wounded.

It was a disgusting act of terror and a reminder of the evil that’s out there.

The New Orleans Police Department released a new statement on the attack Friday that stated the following, in part:

“At around 3:15 a.m. on January 1, several NOPD officers who were assigned to Special Event coverage for New Year’s Eve and the Sugar Bowl responded to an incident involving a white pickup truck in the 300 block of Bourbon Street. After the officers surrounded the pickup truck, the driver fired at them. Three officers – Sergeant Nigel Daggs and Officers Christian Beyer and Jacobie Jordan – returned fire. The driver was pronounced deceased on scene. Officer Jordan, along with Officer Joseph Rodrigue – who did not discharge his firearm – each sustained a gunshot wound to their thigh during this incident. Officer Rodrigue also sustained a fractured shoulder during this incident. Both officers were transported to the hospital for treatment and later released. All the previously mentioned officers were placed on administrative reassignment following this incident.” […]

Women’s College Team, With Trans Player, Refuses to Play Christian School Over ‘Safety’ Concerns

The Vancouver Island University women’s basketball team, which has a transgender player leading the team in points, has refused to play against a Christian college, alleging that the Christian school harassed the transgender player during an October contest.

Vancouver Island released a statement saying that its players don’t feel safe playing against Columbia Bible College this weekend.

“Intimidation, harassment, and discrimination have no place in athletics,” the statement read, according to Fox News. “VIU stands in full support of our student-athletes and affirms the right of all athletes to compete in an environment that prioritizes their safety and well-being.”

CBC denied the allegations in a statement to Fox News Digital.

“This was surprising news to us,” the statement read. “CBC stands for safe play for all. Accusations that CBC, its coaches, players, and fans are a safety threat are simply untrue and misinformed.” […]

In tears, actor James Woods detailed the moment he learned his Pacific Palisades home burned in the Southern California fires that continue to devastate parts of Los Angeles in an interview with CNN Wednesday morning.

“One day you’re swimming in the pool and the next day it’s all gone,” Woods told anchor Pamela Brown on Wednesday while repeatedly choking up. Woods then recounted his evacuation and how he helped rescue his 94-year-old neighbor, who has dementia.

“He’d been left alone,” Woods added. “There was so much chaos, it was like an inferno. Every house was on fire around us.”

Keith Olbermann is glad. But not because Woods saved an elderly man with dementia from burning. Olbermann is glad that Woods’ house burned to the ground.

School Told Girls ‘Transgenders Have More Rights,’ Runner Took Away Girl’s Varsity Spot, Parent Says

Taylor Starling, a high school cross-country runner at Martin Luther King High School in Riverside, California, lost her spot on the varsity team earlier this season to a transgender transfer student.

Multiple parents of students at Martin Luther King have told Fox News Digital that the school has allowed the trans athlete to compete on the varsity cross-country team despite missing practices for academic reasons. These parents include Starling’s father, longtime firefighter Ryan Starling, and construction subcontractor Dan Slavin, father to Kaitlyn, another runner on the team.

“The fact that the male athlete was able to compete while attending less than 25% of the practices is not fair. In what era, on what team, in what sport can you barely show up to practice and still compete?” Dan Slavin told Fox News Digital. “It is not fair, and it is not right to those who work hard every day for the entire season.”

Both families are currently engaged in a lawsuit against the Riverside Unified School District (RUSD).

AP Hit With Brutal Community Note After Misleading Headline on Las Vegas Explosion

On New Year’s Day, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded in front of a Trump hotel in Las Vegas. Tesla founder Elon Musk posted on X that the explosion was not because of a defect with the truck.

Instead, the truck reportedly carried “firework mortars and camp fuel canisters” and the explosion appears to have been intentional.

“We have now confirmed that the explosion was caused by very large fireworks and/or a bomb carried in the bed of the rented Cybertruck and is unrelated to the vehicle itself,” Musk posted.

But the Associated Press framed the incident as though the truck exploded by itself. It also implied that the truck caught fire and then exploded, instead of exploding and then catching fire, which anyone who saw the footage could quickly deduce.

The AP post on X was quickly “ratioed” and then hit with a brutal community note. […]

NFL Releases Statement on Terrorist Attack With Super Bowl Set for New Orleans

Following the devastating and senseless terrorist attack in New Orleans early on New Year’s Day, an attack that killed at least 10 people, the NFL released a statement.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of the devastating incident in New Orleans,” the statement read. “Our thoughts are with the victims, the New Orleans community and all those affected.”

The Super Bowl is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9 at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The league seemed to re-affirm the league’s commitment to playing the game in the city, despite the attack.

“The NFL and the host committee have been working collaboratively with local, state and federal agencies the past two years and have developed comprehensive security plans,” the statement continued.

“These planning sessions will continue as they do with all major NFL events and we are confident attendees will have a safe and enjoyable Super Bowl experience.” […]
