Trump Hits South Africa With Sanctions Over Baffling Land Seizures

President Donald Trump wasted no time in expressing his disapproval of South Africa’s controversial land seizure laws that empower the local government to reportedly discriminate against white South Africans, Headline USA has learned.

On Friday, Trump imposed sanctions on South Africa, freezing all U.S. aid and offering to resettle Afrikaner refugees—South Africans of European descent—who have been targeted by “government-sponsored race-based discrimination.”

The sanctions, announced on Friday through an executive order, are significant, especially considering that the U.S. provided $453 million in taxpayer dollars in 2024 alone, according to the Institute for Security Studies, a South African non-profit.

Trump’s move came in response to South Africa’s enactment of the “Expropriation Act 13 of 2024,” a law that allows the government to seize property from ethnic minority Afrikaners without compensation.

Trump Shuts Down Biden’s Biggest Immigration Scam: TPS for Venezuelans

The Trump administration has rescinded one of the worst immigration policies enacted under Joe Biden: Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for hundreds of thousands of Venezuelan nationals.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem vacated Biden’s 18-month extension of TPS for Venezuelans residing in the U.S., according to Sunday reporting by the liberal New York Times. Noem’s predecessor, Alejandro Mayorkas, granted the extension on Jan. 10—just 11 days before leaving office.

The Biden-era extension would have forced the Trump administration to continue granting special protection to more than 300,000 Venezuelan nationals without the ability to reassess the program or even tighten the vetting process.

Under the new directive,The Times reported that Venezuelans who received TPS in 2023 will lose the special protections 60 days after the federal government issues its termination notice.

Noem addressed the reversal during an interview with NBC News host Kristen Welker on Meet the Press on Sunday: “The [TPS] program has been abused and it doesn’t have integrity right now.” […]

Nearly 8 Years Later, Charlottesville Torch Marcher Sentenced to 5 Years Imprisonment

While hundreds of Jan. 6 protestors were pardoned by newly inaugurated President Donald Trump, a tiki torch marcher from the infamous 2017 Charlottesville Unite the Right rally was just sentenced to a shocking five years imprisonment.

The defendant, Augustus Sol Invictus (who was born Austin Mitchell Gillespie), will reportedly have to serve about nine months in jail, with the remainder of his sentence having been suspended by a judge earlier this month.

Invictus, who was allegedly the author of the “official manifesto” of the 2017 Unite the Right rally, was charged in July 2023 with a little-used law that makes it a crime to burn objects with intent to intimidate.

Another torch marcher, Jacob Joseph Dix, had his case tossed last July after a jury was gridlocked, but Invictus wasn’t as unfortunate. He was found guilty last October and sentenced on Jan. 10. Along with having to serve nine months in jail, he must serve two years of supervised probation when he gets out.

The Charlottesville rally turned deadly the day after the torch march, when a 20-year-old Ohio man rammed his vehicle into a group of counterprotesters and killed a local activist. The driver, James Alex Fields Jr., was convicted of murder and given life imprisonment. […]

According to purported remarks published by the National File, someone identified as Ramaswamy claimed his recent controversial comments about the American workforce led to his exit.

“Obviously,” Ramaswamy reportedly said when asked if his comments were the reason for his removal, as reported by the National File.

However, Ramaswamy publicly denied the report via X, bluntly calling it a “lie.”

The University of Notre Dame’s head football coach told the race-baiting ESPN reporter on Thursday that your skin color doesn’t matter and praised the team.

After Marcus Freeman’s team defeated Penn State University, the ESPN reporter used the race card to press Freeman to talk about how much his position as the “first black head coach to go to a national championship game in college football” meant to him. However, Freeman refused to accept one of the divisive leftist narratives.

“I’ve said this before: I don’t ever want to take attention away from the team. It is an honor, and I hope all coaches — minorities, black, Asian, white, it doesn’t matter, great people — continue to get opportunities to lead young men like this,” he said. “But this ain’t about me. This is about us. We’re going to celebrate what we’ve done because it’s so special.”

Trump ripped Democrats on Friday as corrupt Judge Juan Merchan sentenced him to an unconditional discharge — just to label him a “convicted felon” before he takes office on Jan. 20.

“If we think about this in the bigger picture and we go back to the summer of 2023 Donald Trump had just been hit with four separate indictments in four separate jurisdictions,” Honing said on The Situation Room. “He has two federal cases by Jack Smith, he has the Georgia prosecution, and he has this one.”

Honing commented on the slim chance any defendant could come out of an all-out legal assault unscathed, a feat Trump achieved.

A recently filed lawsuit alleges that Luigi Mangione, the suspected murderer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson, obtained his murder weapon via a “black-market operator.”

Mangione reportedly used a 3D-printed “ghost gun” for his murder—specifically, a Chairmanwon V1, which is a variation of a partially 3D-printed Glock-style design known as the FMDA 19.2, according to the tech publication Wired.

The accusation that Mangione obtained the weapon from a “black-market operator” comes from 3D gun group Defense Distributed, which is in a copyright dispute with another entity called Gatalog, which deals in digital firearms information.

According to Defense Distributed, Gatalog has illegally trafficked in the digital firearms information that Defense Distributed handles legally.

“The Gatalog is a black-market operator in the worst sense,” Defense Distributed alleged in a Dec. 27 counterclaim against Gatalog, which is also suing over copyright issues. […]

JetBlue Passenger Suddenly Opens Exit Door as Flight Taxies for Takeoff at Boston Airport

A person on board a plane at Boston Logan International Airport that was taxiing for takeoff suddenly opened an exit door and was quickly restrained by other passengers, authorities said.

The JetBlue passenger was expected to face charges and be arraigned Wednesday, Massachusetts State Police spokesperson Tim McGuirk said in a statement Tuesday night. The passenger’s name was not released.

The door was opened about 7:30 p.m. “suddenly and without warning,” McGuirk said.

The opening of the overwing exit door caused an emergency slide to deploy aboard JetBlue flight 161 from Boston to San Juan, the airline said in a statement.

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, shared a witty response to Honduran President Xiomara Castro’s threat to shut down U.S. military bases if President-elect Donald Trump follows through on his pledge to deport illegal aliens back to Honduras.

Cruz said Friday that if Castro decides to expel U.S. troops from Honduras, Trump should immediately cut taxpayer-funded aid, which amounts to several hundred million dollars.

“In 2023 the Biden admin sent $193 million in foreign aid to Honduras. In 2024, Biden sent at least $120 million,” Cruz wrote on X. “What I hear Honduras’s president saying is they don’t want any more American aid.”

He added, “Great! Glad to oblige….”

Cruz’s comments were in response to Castro’s opposition to Trump’s plans to enact the largest “deportation operation” in U.S. history. […]
